Abstract:

BACKGROUND: CUSTOM MOLDED OFFLOADING INSOLE AND REMOVABLE PLUG INSOLE APPEAR TO BE BENEFICIAL FOR REDUCE PLANTAR PRESSURE IN PATIENTS WITH FORE FOOT DIABETIC FOOT ULCER (DFU). HOWEVER, QUANTITATIVE EVIDENCE OF PRESSURE REDUCTION BY MEANS OF CUSTOM MOLDED OFFLOADING INSOLE AND REMOVABLE PLUG INSOLE IS LIMITED. THE VALUE OF ADDITIONAL INSOLE ACCESSORIES, SUCH AS HEEL CUP WITH MEDIAL ARCH ADDITIONS, HAS NOT BEEN TESTED.

Abstract:

OFFLOADING AND ENERGY HARVESTING ARE TWO IMPORTANT METHODS IN THE CELLULAR COMMUNICATION. OFFLOADING DECREASES THE LOAD ON THE MOBILE NETWORK AND IMPROVES THE NETWORK CAPACITY AND COVERAGE. ON THE OTHER HAND, HARVESTING THE ENERGY FROM THE RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) ENERGY CAUSES THE DEVICES TO CONSUME LESS BATTERY AND CONSEQUENTLY PROLONGS THE USER EQUIPMENTS (UES) USAGE. IN THIS PAPER, WE OFFER A NEW APPROACH TO OFFLOADING AND ENERGY HARVESTING IN CELLULAR NETWORKS (CNS). IN OUR SCHEME, USERS ARE DIVIDED AMONG BASE STATION (BS) AND LOCAL ACCESS POINT (LAP) TO GET SERVICE. A UE IS CONNECTED TO BS OR LAP BASED ON THEIR CHANNEL CONDITIONS. WE FORMULATE OUR RESOURCE ALLOCATION SCHEME AS AN OPTIMIZATION PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT USING DUAL LAGRANGE APPROACH. OUR SIMULATION RESULTS SHOW THE IMPACT OF VARIOUS PARAMETERS ON THE INCREASE OR DECREASE OF THE TOTAL SUM RATE OF OUR CONSIDERED MODEL.

Abstract:

Today, the mobile phone is one of the smart devices that have become a necessity in everyday life and are used for various tasks such as shopping, banking, communicating with friends, family, etc. In recent years, the Android operating system has been able to gain more popularity than other mobile phone operating systems. The number of software related to this operating system is also expanding at a remarkable speed. Unfortunately, this issue is not hidden from the profit-seeking people, and the production of malware of this operating system has also grown in parallel with its development. Third-party Android app stores that have emerged in recent years have become a very strong source of malware distribution, as these stores have weak to non-existent measures to prevent malicious apps from being uploaded and distributed to users' devices. Therefore, one of the challenges that programmers are dealing with in this field is to find solutions to establish security in these types of devices, in such a way that it provides powerful security analysis capabilities while consuming few resources on the device itself. Software products such as Lookout, Norton, and Comodo Mobile Security mainly use signature-based methods to detect malware threats. However, malware attackers use techniques such as repackaging and obfuscation to circumvent signatures and defeat attempts to analyze their internal mechanisms. The ever-increasing sophistication of Android malware requires new defense techniques that can protect users against new threats while not using up all of a mobile device's processing and storage resources. Therefore, in the current research, a computational offloading method is presented in the cloud structure to identify Android malware. The solution proposed by this research first extracts the features of Android applications during installation and execution on the mobile phone, then sends these extracted features to the cloud servers. On the cloud server side, these features are analyzed and using machine learning algorithms, malware is distinguished from clean programs. The proposed approach is trained and tested using the Drebin dataset. The obtained results show that the proposed approach has achieved 96.44% accuracy for malware detection.

Abstract:

Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) augments capabilities of mobile devices by offloading applications to the cloud. Task allocation is one of the most challenging issues in MCC considering neighboring mobile devices as the service providers. Given an application offloading request, the objective of the task allocation is to select service providers minimizing the completion time of the application offloading as well as consumed energy of all participating mobile devices while satisfying some QoS constraints. This paper models the task allocation problem in MCC as a constrained multi-objective optimization and proposes a two stages approach to solve the problem. In the first stage, a Multi-objective Resource Allocation based on Branch and Bound algorithm (MRABB) is designed to obtain Pareto solution set. In the subsequent stage, using Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method and given user’s preferences, the best compromise solution is determined. Furthermore, a context-aware software for Offloading in Mobile Cloud (OMC) is designed and implemented to collect contextual used in task allocation, and manage the offloading process. The results show the ability of the proposed multi-objective task allocation method to manage the trade-off between time and energy comparing to traditional algorithms.
